According to sources in the Tamil film industry, rumors that actors Ajith and Vijay will soon be working on a film together are not true. Late on Monday evening, some media reported that director Venkat Prabhu was to make a film in which both stars Ajith and Vijay would work together. The media attributed this statement to music director and singer Gangai Amaren, who is also the father of Venkat Prabhu.
Reports claimed that an official announcement about the project would be made soon. However, informed sources say that such a project is not in the plans.
Meanwhile, actor Ajit, on vacation, is having fun riding one of his favorite fancy motorcycles around Europe. Photos of the actor in the Market Square of Bruges in Belgium have gone viral on social media.
Sources say the actor will return to India to resume filming for H. Vinot’s film, tentatively titled #AK61, in the first week of July. He will complete filming and then return to Europe for another expedition. The film is reportedly about a bank robbery. Sources close to the unit now confirm that the film will revolve around a bank robbery and that the film was filmed on floors in Hyderabad where the unit set up a giant set reminiscent of Chennai’s popular Mount Road landmark.
The heroines for the film have not yet been determined.
Nirav Shah is the cinematographer for this film, which has music by Gibran and editing by Vijay Velcutti. Stunts for the film were performed by Supreme Sundar and Dhilip Subbarayan.
