BJP blames Rahul, Congress for violence in Maharashtra

V Bjp accused Rahula Gandhi and other congressional leaders on Saturday of making “false” statements against Hindus. Saffron party leaders argued that by creating differences in society, Congress leaders instigated violence similar to that which recently took place in Maharashtra in Amravati.

“From the statements made by Rahul Gandhi it is clear that he hates Hindus very much … The false news spread that mosques had been destroyed in Tripura. This provoked violence in Maharashtra. But the investigation proved that the news was unfounded, ”said BJP national spokesman and MP Rajya Sabha Sudhanshu Trivedi.

A day after the party criticized Rahul for Distinguishing between Hinduism and Hindutva, in a training program organized in the Wardha of Maharashtra, Trivedi said: “We would like to know if you trained your workers or was it training against the Hindus? Or was it a campaign to stir up sectarian division and violence? ” he said.

A curfew was imposed in Amravati on Saturday after violence erupted in the city following minority protests over alleged incidents in Tripura.

Trivedi said the comments by Congress leaders against Hindutwa were part of a conspiracy. The BJP went on the offensive after Congress Leader Salman Khurshid compared Hindutva, a term associated with RSS-BJP ideology, to terrorist Islamist organizations

Stating that “Shivaji’s rule, which contained the Mughal attempts to conquer India, was also associated with Hinduism,” Trivedi said that leaders such as Rahul Gandhi could not understand this concept and asked him to read the works of congressional devotees such as the Mahatma Gandhi, Bal Gangadhar Tilak and Jawaharlal Nehru. Nehru wrote in his “Discovery of India” that the word “Hindu” can be understood in the broader context of Indian identity and should not be considered narrowly.

Trivedi argued that India was a “partly Muslim country” – with a brief exception during the time of Atal Bihari Vajpayee – before the BJP regime, led by Narendra Modi, took over the country. “The decision of the Supreme Court was overturned by parliament in order to put Sharia law above the Constitution. Whether it’s a Hajj subsidy or an instant talaq. This was not even the case in Islamic countries … It shows that all this is in the DNA of the Congress, ”Trivedi said.

“The Supreme Court decision was overturned to give priority to Sharia law,” Trivedi said, clearly referring to the Rajiv Gandhi-led government formulating a law overturning the high court’s ruling in the Shah Bano case.

The BJP leader attacked the leaders of Congress and referred to their use of terms such as “Hindu Taliban” and “Hindu terrorism.” “These are the same people who do not want a proud India to flourish in all its glory and are trying to stop its growth,” he said.
