Chennaiyin FC have strengthened their squad by signing defender Aakash Sangwan and midfielder Sajal Bag ahead of the upcoming Indian Super League (ISL) season on two-year contracts.
While 26-year-old Sangwan is the fourth defender to be signed by Chennaiyin this summer, promising West Bengal youth Bag becomes the seventh midfielder to join the club. Both will play in ISL for the first time.
The left-footed Sangwan will join RoundGlass Punjab’s Marina Machans, with whom he won the I-League title in 2018.
Bag, on the other hand, will join the ranks of Chennaiyin after an impressive performance in West Bengal, runners-up in the Santosh Trophy.
