Deepak and Ishan are currently in Kolkata for their third T20I tournament against New Zealand.

Fast bowler Deepak Chahar and young slugger Ishan Kishan travel to South Africa with Team India for three four-day red ball test matches.

Deepak and Ishan are currently in Kolkata for their third T20I tournament against New Zealand.

“Yes, Deepak and Ishan were recruited to the team. They will finish the match in Kolkata and join up with Team A before leaving for South Africa, ”a senior BCCI official confirmed to PTI.

It is understandable that Ishan is being sent because Chetan Sharma, headed by the committee, mistakenly left only one gatekeeper for the “A” tour of the Upendra Yadav Railways.

“They needed a second goalkeeper, and who is better than Ishan, who is likely to be the first goalkeeper now, and rightly so,” another official said.

Deepak hasn’t played red ball cricket very often, but given his ball swinging ability, breeders want him to be busy.

Gujarat Best Player Priyank Panchal will lead Squad India A on their South African tour starting November 23.

The tour consists of three four-day matches that will take place in Bloemfontein.
