Delhi Minister Satyendar Jain, who is currently on trial in a money laundering case being investigated by ED, was admitted to an LNJP hospital on Monday and is in stable condition, the sources said.
Jane, 57, was arrested by the Office of Law Enforcement on May 30 under the criminal provisions of the Money Laundering Prevention Act (PMLA).
“He was taken from Tihar Prison first to GB Pant Hospital and then transferred to LNJP Hospital. His condition is stable,” a source told PTI.
Jane, a minister without portfolio in the Kejriwal government, is under investigation by an agency under the PMLA for alleged hawala dealings.
In April, the ED seized assets of Rs 4.81 crore of Jane’s family and companies “beneficially owned and controlled by him” as part of an investigation.
