Djokovic, Tsitsipas in French Open rematch at ATP Finals


The first racket of the world rallied to beat the Greek at Roland Garros

Novak Djokovic will face Stefanos Tsitsipas for the first time since his epic French Open title fight in June at the ATP final starting on Sunday.

The world’s # 1 Djokovic, who is aiming to catch up with Roger Federer’s record of six titles at the end of the season, drew with Tsitsipas, Andrei Rublev and Kasper Ruud in his group at the November 14-21 tournament in Turin.

Daniil Medvedev, No. 2 of the world and reigning champion, is in another subgroup along with Alexander Zverev, Matteo Berrettini and Hubert Gurkach.

Djokovic is known to have returned from two sets to love the victory over Greek Tsitsipas in the French Open final and win his second Roland Garros.

He also became the first open-era player to win all four Grand Slam tournaments twice.

The 34-year-old Serb, 20-time Grand Slam title holder, has won the ATP Finals five times in 2008, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.

ATP Finals Groups:

Green group: Novak Djokovic, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Andrey Rublev, Kasper Ruud.

Red group: Daniil Medvedev, Alexander Zverev, Matteo Berrettini, Hubert Gurkach
