Despite sky-high cuts for various courses, a total of 36,130 students successfully completed the first abbreviated admission process, with just over half of the college places at the University of Delhi filled.
In total, the university received 60,904 applications on the first closed list, which was announced on October 1. Eight colleges have set the threshold for 10 courses from the first list at 100%.
The listing process ended at 23:59 on Friday, the last day for payments to be made. To date, according to official data, 36,130 students have paid for their education.
The university colleges have 70,000 places for undergraduate studies.
A second limited list will be released by the university later on Saturday, and directors will warn that the reduction in the requested grades will not exceed 0.5-1%.
