Captain of India Virat Koli on Wednesday thanked the outgoing head coach Ravi Shastri and the other support staff, whose terms ended at the T20 World Cup, and praised them for their contributions to the amazing kit.
While India failed to reach the semi-finals of the ICC T20 World Championship in the UAE, the Shastri-Kohli duo, along with bowling coach Bharat Arun and reigning coach R. Sridhar, participated in a system that won two test series in Australia.
The team leads 2-1 in five test runs in England due to be completed next year. The departure of Shastri & Co. marks the end of an era in Indian cricket.
