On Friday, the Goa Department of Education authorized higher secondary schools to conduct XI and XII grade exams offline.

In a circular issued during the day, Education Director Bhushan Sawaykar said requests for these offline exams had come from many schools, and permission was given on condition that pandemic regulations were strictly adhered to.

“Only vaccinated personnel are allowed to enter the school premises. Those who cannot present a certificate of vaccination are admitted after submitting a negative RTPCR test report. Such a report is valid for seven days, and a new report must be prepared after the seventh day, ”the circular says.

He added that the number of students who will be required to wear a mask at all times will be limited to 50 percent of the classroom capacity, with seating arrangements for social distancing. “Every student and staff must be tested for body temperature before entering school premises, which must be disinfected every day before opening,” the circular says.
