International Yoga Day 2022: Today, on the occasion of the 8th International Day of Yoga, there is no admission fee for visitors to the famous monuments of Agra: the Agra Fort and the Taj Mahal. This was announced on Monday by representatives of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).
ASI (Agra Circle) Chief Archaeologist Rajkumar Patel told PTI news agency: “On the occasion of International Day of Yoga, there will be free entrance tickets for tourists to the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri and other ASI protected monuments in Agra Circle. and throughout India. Entrance will be free throughout the day for all tourists, Indians and foreigners.”
Meanwhile, district officials said Union Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi will be doing yoga with more people from all walks of life at Panch Mahal in Uttar Pradesh’s Fatehpur Sikri on the occasion of International Yoga Day.
June 21 has been celebrated as International Yoga Day every year since 2015. As India celebrates its 75th anniversary of independence, this year’s International Yoga Day celebrations will be even more special with grand celebrations.
The celebrations will take place around the world in a grand manner, fully integrating them with the ongoing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) celebrations.
