International Yoga Day 2022: PM Modi to lead celebrations from Mysuru, ministers to participate from 75 places

International Yoga Day – 2022: International Yoga Day 2022 will be celebrated on Tuesday. June 21 has been celebrated as International Yoga Day every year since 2015. As India celebrates its 75th anniversary of independence, this year’s International Yoga Day celebrations will be even more special with grand celebrations. Yoga Day celebrations will be organized at 75 iconic locations across the country led by 75 Union Ministers, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi taking part in exercises in Mysore. Yoga demonstrations will also be hosted by various educational, social, political, cultural, religious, corporate and other civil society organizations and will be attended by millions of people across the country.

“Ring of the Guardian of Yoga”

Modi’s yoga program is also part of the new Guardian Yoga Ring program, which is a collaborative exercise by 79 countries and organizations of the United Nations system, as well as Indian missions abroad, to demonstrate the transcendent unifying power of yoga.

As the sun moves from east to west around the world, mass yoga demonstrations in the participating countries, as viewed from anywhere on earth, will take place one after the other, almost in tandem, thus emphasizing the concept of “One Sun, One Earth PMO said.

Yoga events for 75,000 seats

On Tuesday, BJP will mark the eighth International Day of Yoga by hosting yoga classes at 75,000 locations across the country.

With COVID-19 suspending any major public yoga day event for the past two years, the BJP has decided to hold the event in a big way this year, according to a BJP spokesperson. BJP President J.P. Nadda will attend yoga classes in Noida while Interior Minister Amit Shah will be in the capital.

IDY 2022 Theme

The theme of IDY 2022 is “Yoga for Humanity”. The celebrations will take place around the world in a grand manner, fully integrating them with the ongoing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) celebrations. IDY’s main goal is to raise people’s awareness of the health benefits of yoga. Over the years, IDY has evolved into a grassroots health movement.
