On Saturday, Jammu and Kashmiri police hacked into a sleeping cell module in the Pulwam area of ​​South Kashmir and arrested five active terrorist accomplices of the banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), officials said.

“Police hacked into a sleeping chamber module in Pulwam and arrested five active terrorist accomplices of the banned terrorist organization LeT,” a police spokesman said.

While investigating multiple grenade attacks in Pulwam in southern Kashmir, police uncovered a network of active LeT associates.

Among those arrested were Shouket Islam Dar, Aijaz Ahmad Lone, Aijaz Gulzar Lone, Mansur Ahmad Bhat and Nasser Ahmad Shah, all residents of Lelhar Pulwama.

“The preliminary investigation showed that the module acted as a sleeping compartment and was involved in the procurement and transportation of weapons / ammunition. They also participated in delivering grenade strikes against the security forces at the direction of their mentors, ”the police said.

Compromising materials, including weapons / ammunition, were seized from them.

The police registered the case under the relevant articles of the law. Further investigation of this issue is ongoing.
