The fact-checking team of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) today warned NEET-UG applicants against the dissemination of a fake notice of the postponement of the exam. The fake notice states that the NEET UG 2022 exam date has been moved from July 17 to September 4.
“A notice is circulating on social media claiming that the National Testing Agency (NTA) has moved NEET (UG) to September 4, 2022 instead of July 17, 2022. The notice is fake,” PIB tweeted.

NEET UG applicants, as well as their parents, are demanding the postponement of the undergraduate medical entrance exam, citing the current CBSE exam, which will give less time to prepare for NEET.
Recently the Indian Parents Broad Association wrote a letter to the Prime Minister urging him to intervene and reschedule the NEET UG exam date from 17 July. The Department of Education and the NTA are requesting the same.
The NEET UG registration process has been completed and the eligibility cards are expected to be issued by the end of June.
The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) is an entrance test for students to apply to medical colleges.
