Narendra Modi 20 years old: Prime Minister Narendra Modi ended 20 years as head of government on Thursday, including more than 13 years as chief minister of Gujarat, with top BJP leaders praising his leadership and praising him for pioneering good governance and development. From 2001 to 2014, Modi held the position of CM of Gujarat.
Interior Minister Amit Shah, who has been a close aide to Modi for more than three decades, said the path of good governance and development that began on that day in 2001, when he first took the oath of office as chief minister, continues uninterrupted. According to him, the Prime Minister worked day and night for the benefit of the people and the progress of the country.
BJP President J.P. Nadda said Modi pulled the country out of frustration and set it on a path to progress and become a visva guru (world leader).
The prime minister worked as a “karma yogi” and instilled confidence in the people that they were building a new India, Nadda said.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also congratulated the Prime Minister, saying that these 20 years have not only been dedicated to the welfare of the people, but also not spoiled.
“Let it grow in popularity,” he said.
Prime Minister Modi was sworn in for a second term in May 2019 after serving as Prime Minister of India from 2014 to 2019. He is the first prime minister to be born after independence. He was also the longest serving Chief Minister of Gujarat from October 2001 to May 2014.
