Prime Minister Modi welcomes healthcare workers involved in COVID-19 vaccination

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday praised health workers who have reached different heights to successfully carry out a vaccination campaign in the country. He responded to a tweet from Health Minister Mansuh Mandavia, who posted a video of healthcare workers carrying vaccines and traveling through rugged terrain, saying that their contributions to the country’s security will be remembered forever.

“This is just one example of a monumental effort by all stakeholders to ensure that our fellow citizens are vaccinated. Kudos to everyone who succeeds in vaccinating India, ”the Prime Minister tweeted.

Cumulative COVID-19 vaccination coverage in India surpassed 94.62 million on Saturday, the Ministry of Health and Family Protection (MoHFW) said. According to the ministry, more than 60 thousand doses of the vaccine were administered today before 19:00.

“The number of daily vaccinations is expected to increase after the final reports for the day are completed by the evening,” the MoHC said.
