Everything appears to be set for the much-anticipated cabinet reshuffle as feverish preparations are underway for the inauguration ceremony of new ministers at the Governor’s House on Sunday at 4:00 pm, officials confirmed, adding that all Rajasthan government ministers could be asked to step down after a cabinet meeting scheduled for 5 pm on Saturday.

The meeting will be chaired by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. While it has not yet been decided which new faces will enter the cabinet, the process began last Friday evening with a large number of Congressional MLAs in Jaipur.

After the meeting, a new cabinet with new names will be formed, and the oath ceremony will take place on Sunday in Raj Bhavan. Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra will return Saturday night after attending a program in Uttar Pradesh.

Ajay Maken, in charge of the Rajasthan State Congress in Jaipur, will discuss the names of the alleged candidates with CM Ashok Gelot. Former CM deputy Sachin Pilot also returns from Delhi to Jaipur on Saturday night.

Sources said the Pilot will meet with Ajay Maken before the names of ministers for cabinet expansion are determined. By Saturday evening, the situation on this matter will become clear.

It should be informed here that government ministers, including Govind Singh Dotasra, Dr. Raghu Sharma and Harish Chaudhary, have proposed resigning from their ministerial posts in their letter to Congress President Sona Gandhi.

Ajay Maken, who arrived in Jaipur, disclosed this information to the media on Friday evening after arriving in Jaipur on Friday night.
