Ranchi: Probe ordered into ‘Pakistan zindabad’ slogans


A RANCHI officer on Sunday ordered an investigation into “Pakistan zindabad” slogans allegedly raised ahead of the arrival of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimin Asaduddin Owaisi at Ranchi airport.

The letter, published by SDO Deepak Dubey, cites a news report announcing the slogans raised. The order instructed Commander Hekhal, DSP Hatia: “According to the order of the Deputy Commissioner, submit a report confirming the content of the news report within 24 hours.”


Meanwhile, speaking to reporters, Owaishi said that the killings in Ranchi, allegedly due to the June 10 police shooting, were due to violence. BJP and JMM both. “The BJP is responsible because they did not take action against Nupur Sharma earlier, and the MMM is responsible because the police (under this government) have been shooting at unarmed people and no action has been taken against them so far,” he said.

After digging up the Congress, Owaishi said, “… Tell the Congress not to shed crocodile tears… People were shot at for welcoming Islam.”
