Getting married is a momentous event and a special milestone for many people. For brides, this can be a little overwhelming as they have to prepare for a major transition and do it in front of many people – family and friends.

Thus, in the days leading up to the wedding, they stress a lot and forget to take care of themselves. However, nutritionist Nmami Agarwal believes that with proper nutrition, brides-to-be can feel and look their best on their big day.

In his Instagram post, Agarwal shares a few tips.

1. Instead of chewing on these high-calorie cookies, eat nuts whenever you feel like chewing.

2. The most common mistake we make is not getting enough water; drink water to keep your skin hydrated.

3. Add a glass of vegetable juice to your diet and consume it every single day. Add some carrots, beets and tomatoes to keep your skin glowing, says a nutritionist.

4. Add a glass of chia seed water to your diet. It will help you nourish and make your skin glow.

5. Eat a bowl of papaya every day because it is very good for your digestion.

6. Finally, eat yogurt. It is good for the intestines and is rich in calcium and protein. It also helps maintain your weight.
