Rashtriya Janata Dahl (RJD) has released a list of star contenders for the by-elections to be held in two seats. It is noteworthy that Tej Pratap Yadav, who had an altercation with his brother Tejashvi, did not find a mention in the list.
The RJD has released a list of 20 stellar campaigners for the by-elections to be held at the Tarapur and Kusheshwarsthan assembly sites.
The list of celebrity RJD campaigners includes names such as party leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, Tejashvi Yadav, Abdulbari Siddiqi, Shyam Rajak, Tanvir Hassan, Trishan Patel, Manoj Kumar Jha, Bharat Mandal. In previous elections, Tej Pratap was a stellar party member.
In this by-election, RJD High Representative Lalu Yadav will also campaign alongside his youngest son, Tejashvi Yadav. Both will also be present at every electoral meeting.
Interestingly, Hajipur-based RJD leader Sivanand Tiwari said on Wednesday that Tej Pratap Yadav is not a party member. He started his own group under the symbol RJD, which was opposed by party leaders.
Meanwhile, amid continuing rift between Lalu Prasad’s two sons, senior Tej Pratap Yadav on Thursday met with Congress leader and former MLA Ashok Ram. This is likely the first time that a leader from the Lalu Prasad family has shelved his party, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), meeting and befriending another party when there were polls nearby.
