TMC blames BJP thugs for attacking Subal Bhoumik leader’s residence in Tripura


  • An attack was carried out on the residence of Subal Bhoumik, the head of the steering committee of the state branch of TMC, in Tripura.
  • TMC claims there is a Gunda Raj in Tripura and blames BJP for the assault.
  • Several chairs and bicycles were also broken during the attack, Bhovmik said.

Several people were injured in an attack on the residence of Subal Bhoumik, the head of the TMC government’s steering committee, in the Bhagaban Thakur Choumuni district of Agartal. The area is home to Tripura police and state riflemen.

Trinamool Congress condemned the attack and said the BJP thugs were behind the attack. The party called on Tripura CM Biplab Kumar Deb to immediately arrest those responsible.

Commenting on the incident, Bhovmik told the ANI news agency: “The attack was carried out while we (the TMC party members) were talking. It is impossible to imagine because this is my birthplace. Some chairs and bicycles were also broken during the attack. “

Meanwhile, 15 TMC MPs will sit on Dharna since Monday morning in Delhi.

Earlier today, Tripura police detained TMC leader Saioni Ghosh for questioning after a ruling BJP worker complained that she had disrupted a street corner meeting with Biplab Chief Minister Kumar Deb on Saturday night, according to an official.
