A delegation of TMC parliamentarians will arrive in the country’s capital tonight to meet with Interior Minister Amit Shah on the alleged police brutality in Tripura, party sources said. The party has been pushing for a meeting with the Shah, and the party leaders have to sit in dharna since Monday morning.

Sources said that there are more than 15 people in the party delegation. The MPs will sit on Dharna from Monday morning in Delhi.
Earlier today, Tripura police detained West Bengal Trinamool Congress Leader Sayani Ghosh for questioning after a ruling BJP worker complained that she had disrupted Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb’s street meeting on Saturday night, according to official figures.
Ghosh, secretary of the West Bengal TMC youth division, was detained the day before the planned visit of the party’s national general secretary, Abhishek Banerjee, after being summoned to the police station for interrogation.
