A video posted on the Indian cricket team’s official Instagram account shows Sharma and Gill practicing a wide variety of shots, including the pull shot.
Rohit, who was resting in the T20I series against South Africa at home, defended several passes on the front foot and also played pull shots against short balls. Gill also wanted to work on his game during the game.
India will be based here for a week and play Leicestershire in a four-day warm-up match from 24 June.
India will play three T20Is and three ODIs in England after the completion of the last test. The team selected for these matches is likely to more accurately represent the best limited overs squad.
However, before the Test match, another Indian contingent will play Ireland in two T20I matches in Dublin on 26 and 28 June in a two-legged two-legged series.
However, Rishab Pant as well as Shreyas Iyer will not be part of the Irish country tour group as they are included in the test team and will fly directly to Birmingham to play the red ball game, which likely explains their absence from the T20 team that is touring Ireland.
