BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari claims the convoy was attacked by TMC supporters; complaint filed

  • Lawyer Suvendu Adhikari filed a complaint against TMC supporters.
  • The complaint alleges that 70 TMC supporters attacked the Adhikari convoy.
  • He was traveling to Calcutta from Kontai.

West Bengal BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari’s lawyer filed a complaint with the Marishda police station on Monday, claiming that about 70 TMC supporters had attacked the Adhikari convoy. The complaint also states that supporters insulted the BJP leader and threatened him with death. Adhikari was traveling to Calcutta from Kontai.

Meanwhile, after criticizing Trinamool Congress for alleged violence in Tripura, Bharatiya MP Janata Loket Chatterjee said on Monday that the BJP believes in Vikas Khobe, not “violent Khela Khobe.”

“Khela Hobe for TMC workers means more than 60 workers are dying, which means more than one lakh of workers are out of work, women are gang raped, atrocities against women are prevalent … that is Khela Hobe’s definition. If this is the definition of Khela Hobe in Bengal, then we will not allow this to happen in Tripura at all. There are victories and defeats in politics, but there is no room for hooliganism, ”Chatterjee said.

On Monday, MLA TMC protested in the capital, alleging violence by Tripura police.
