Party Bahujan Samaj Chief Mayawati on Sunday called the Dalit beaten to death in Rajasthan’s Hanumangarh “condemnable” and questioned the silence of the Congress.
In a series of Hindi tweets, the former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh said, “Dalit was beaten to death in the Hanumangarh of Rajasthan. This is very sad and reprehensible, but why the high command of the Congress is silent about it.
Rajasthan police reported that on October 7, in Hanumangarh, a group of men allegedly beat a Dalit man to death because of their love affair. On Saturday, three people were detained in the case.
Mayawati said, “Will the chief ministers of Chhattisgarh and Punjab go there and hand over 50 lakhs to the victim’s family? BSP demands a response, otherwise it must stop shedding crocodile tears in the name of the Dalits. ”
