Agnipat scheme: BJP leader Kailash Vijaivergia appears to be under fire from the opposition as well as his party leaders after he said he would favor Agniver to hire them as security guards at the BJP office. “I will give preference to Agniveer to hire him as a security guard at the BJP office, even you can … People believe in the military,” he said.
While Congress accused him of insulting the soldiers, Vijayvargia claimed that the “tool gang” misrepresented his comments and all he meant was that the superiority of these soldiers would be exploited in any area they crossed after completion of its service life.
BJP leader Varun Gandhi also cited Vijaywargyya as a commentary. “The Indian army is a means of serving Mother Bharati and not just a ‘work’. Gandhi tweeted.
What did Kailash Vijayvargyya say?
Speaking at a press conference at the BJP’s office in Indore, Vijaywargia made this statement defending the Agnipath Center’s four-year contract army recruitment scheme, which has sparked protests in many parts of the country and is being questioned by many parties.
“In army training, the first is discipline, and the second is following orders. He will be trained and when he comes out (from the armed forces) after four years of service, he will have 11 lakh rupees in his hands. And he also walked around with the Agniveer badge on his chest,” Vijayvargia said.
He went on to say, “If I need security (staff) here at this BJP office, I will give priority to Agniveer,” a remark shared on social media by many who criticized him for doing so.
