The youth wing of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday launched a campaign to join all 70 constituencies in Delhi. The move is gaining importance as municipal corporation elections are due early next year.
The revitalization of membership was launched by the head of the AAP youth wing in Delhi, Rohit Lakroy and President Ramesh Matyala, the party said in a statement.
“The revitalization of membership has begun in all 70 Vidhan Sabhah (constituencies) of Delhi,” the party said. According to the party, hundreds of young people have become members of the AAP youth wing in the Badarpur constituency.
While three civic organizations are currently run by the BJP, the AARP is the main opposition party.
