Actor Meghana Raj Sarja returned to set on Friday after a one-year hiatus. She took to Instagram to reveal that she finally ran into a film camera since her youngest son. Chiranjeevi Sarja 9 months old.
Megana shared a photo from the set where she is holding the script.
Sharing a photo, she wrote, “#JrC is nine months old today, and I celebrate by looking at the camera after a year #backtobasics (sic).”
Meghana has not disclosed details about the project yet. Her return was welcomed by many of her cinematic brotherhood friends, including actors Nazriya Nazim, Prajwal, and Samyukta Hornad.
Meghana was last seen in the Kannada film Kurukshetra, which was released in 2019. She took a break from acting after she got pregnant. Last June, Megana lost her husband Chiranjeevi Sarju to massive cardiac arrest.
In a recent interview with a leading daily newspaper, Megana recalled the tragedy that happened at night and how she wants the world to remember her husband.
Recalling the tragic night, Megana said: “The only thing that worries me the most is how I slept soundly on the night of June 6, 2020, while Chiranjeevi was still awake. At some point in the night, I opened my eyes and saw that he was just looking at me and smiling. I asked him what he was thinking and he said “nothing.” The expression on his face that night will stay with me forever, and I think about it every single day. “
