TRICHI: While the state government is adopting simplified grading criteria for grading 12th grade students of the State Council, it will help announce results soon, School Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyamoji said in Trichi on Sunday.

According to him, the work has become easy, since these marks are already on the portal. “Teachers don’t have to go to school to look at the gradebook. Since both X and XI grades are board exams, the data is already available on the portal in Chennai.

According to the minister, the assessments will be calculated based on the assessment criteria, and the results will be published shortly.

While reopening schools with minimum student enrollments as Covid-19 cases declined, he said parents were concerned about sending their children to school due to the pandemic. The decision will be made after consultation with the Ministry of Health and the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) New Delhi.

Early in the morning, he took part in an event at the Rockfort complex, which houses Tayumanavar and Uchchi Pillayar Temple, to distribute covid aid in the amount of Rs 4,000 to temple priests, bhattacharyas, and pujaris who do not receive monthly wages.

While a total of 16 priests in the temple have received assistance, they are among 603 such priests in the area who will receive assistance in the following days.
