COVID: Maharashtra reports 9,974 new cases, 143 deaths

COVID: Maharashtra reports 9,974 new cases, 143 deaths

On Sunday, 9,974 coronavirus cases were reported in Maharashtra, bringing the number of infections in the state to 60,36,821, with the death toll rising to 1,221,286 with 143 new deaths.

8,562 patients were discharged from hospitals, bringing the number of recovered patients to 57,90,113. The number of active cases is 1,22,252.

Mumbai reported 739 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the number of patients to 7.20,349, with 13 patients dying from the infection and 650 recovering. Taking into account the last victims, the death toll in the city increased to 15 396 people, and the number of those who recovered reached 6.94 082 people.

With 2,10866 new tests, the number of samples tested so far in Maharashtra has grown to 4,10,42,198, according to the department.

The COVID-19 recovery rate in Maharashtra is 95.91 percent and the case fatality rate is 2.0 percent. Currently, 6,19,168 people are in home quarantine and 4,240 in institutional quarantine.
