Union Education Minister Ramesh Pohriyal Nishank, who has struggled with complications from COVID-19, has made a full recovery. On June 1, the minister was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
Sources said that Nishanka will be discharged from the hospital in the near future.
Dr. Pohriyal tested positive for COVID-19 on April 21 and resumed work after recovering. However, after certain complications developed again, he had to be urgently treated.
The minister, struggling with complications in the hospital, devoted some time to writing a heartfelt poem describing his struggles and how he managed to overcome them with his firmness and determination.
“Haar kahan maani hai meng?
Raar kahan thaani hai maine?
Main to apne path-sangharshon ka palan karta aaya hoon.
Kyun aaye tum corona mujh tak? Tumko bayrang khi yaana hai.
Pooch sako to poocho mujhko
Maine Mann Mine Thana Hai.
Tumkhi na Yaan
Aaye kaise mujh mein aise?
Par main tum par bhi chhaya hoon,
Main til til jal mita timir ko
Aashaon ko bounga;
Nahin aaj so soy hun
Ab kahan main sounga?
Deho, this is ghanghor timir mein
The chief jivan is deep jalaya hun.
Tumkhi on Jaan Aaye Kais,
Par dekho, main tum par bhi chhaya hun.
