The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) has launched various new courses that will be offered starting in the 2021-22 academic year. Courses range from technology to public policy and from artificial intelligence to design. Some institutions have also chosen to offer online programs due to pandemic… The recently launched courses are not only targeted at college students, but some programs have also been introduced for working professionals. Here’s everything about the new courses:
Master in Public Policy (MPP) – IIT Delhi
IIT Delhi starting with a two-year Master of Public Policy (MPP) postgraduate study of the upcoming academic session 2021-2022 with a focus on science, technology and innovation (STI) and development. Applicants with undergraduate degrees such as MBBS, BA LLB (Hons), BArch, BTech, BSc (Ag), BVSc or equivalent; and Master’s degrees such as MA, MSc, MPhil, Integrated MSc / MA, MTech or equivalent are eligible to apply.
MTech and MDes Online Program – IIT Hyderabad
IIT Hyderabad announced new seven MTech online programs and MDes online program for working professionals from August 2021. MTech’s seven online programs include Industrial Metallurgy, Electric Vehicle Technology, Computational Mechanics, Integrated Computational Material Engineering, Communications and Signal Processing (CSP), Power Electronics and Power Systems (PEPS), and Microelectronics and VLSI (ME & VLSI). The online MDes program is designed for working professionals.
MTech in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science – IIT-Roorkee
As part of the newly established Center for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, IIT Roorkee will propose two new Master of Technology (MTech) Programs in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science from the academic session 2021-22 Applicants must have a master’s degree in engineering education, bachelor’s, bachelor’s and bachelor’s degrees, or an equivalent degree in any engineering course, in order to be able to apply.
Electronic Master’s Programs – IIT Kanpur
IIT Kanpur launched four eMasters programs designed to provide a seamless learning experience during pandemic… The four e-Masters include programs in communications systems, cybersecurity, electricity sector regulation, economics and management, and commodity markets and risk management. The application process will take place in July and the programs will begin in mid-August. The institute will soon post details of eligibility, fees and enrollment on its official website.
MSc in Design and MSc in Management Innovation – IIT Roorkee
IIT Roorkee founded a new Department of Design (DOD), which launched two new postgraduate programs – Master in Design (Industrial Design) and Master in Innovation Management (MIM) – starting in the 2021-22 academic year.
The Master in Management of Innovation (MIM) program develops students to be able to initiate, manage and successfully complete projects – skills that are in high demand in the global industry. The Master in Design (Industrial Design) seeks to introduce students to the fundamentals of design and prototyping, design thinking, product-human interaction, and more.
MTech in Electric Mobility – IIT Delhi
IIT Delhi will start a new Graduate School (PG) in Electric Mobility with Academic Session 2021-22 The program will cover key aspects related to electric vehicles, powertrains, chargers and charging infrastructure, battery energy storage systems, battery management system, reusability of energy storage cells. Applicants with a 4-year bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a GATE qualification in Electrical Engineering (EE), Mechanical Engineering (ME), or Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering (PI) will be eligible to apply for the program.
BTech in Energy – IIT Delhi
The Center for Energy Research (CES) at IIT Delhi will be reorganized into the Department of Energy and Engineering and new courses will be opened as part of the expansion. In addition to continuing the three existing MTech programs (including one sponsored by the International Solar Alliance for International Employees) currently offered by the Energy Research Center, the new department will offer undergraduate program, i.e. BTech in the field of energy, starting from the academic session 2021-2022. with an enrollment of 40 students with JEE (Advanced) qualifications.
PG Level Program in Applied Data Science and Machine Intelligence – IIT Madras
The Robert Bosch Center for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (RBCDSAI) in IIT Madras began a 12-month postgraduate program in Applied Data Science and Machine Intelligence. The program was launched in partnership with TalentSprint. Applications for the first cohort of the PG program, which will begin in August 2021. This program is best suited for aspiring professionals seeking to gain a strong knowledge of data science.
