Rublev is in sixth place after reaching fifth place in the men’s rankings last month.
Russia’s Andrei Rublev has become the fifth singles player to qualify for the ATP Season Finals, which will take place in Turin next month, according to the men’s tour.
The ATP Finals feature the top eight men’s teams in singles and doubles. The Russian made his debut at the prestigious tournament in 2020, when he was last held in London before moving to Turin.
“I am so happy to be able to compete with the eight best players in the world again,” Rublev said in an ATP press release on Saturday 23 October. “This is such a unique and prestigious tournament and I can’t wait to play in Turin. … “
Rublev (24) together with the first number in the world Novak Djokovic from Serbia, another Russian and US champion Daniil Medvedev, Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas and Alexander Zverev from Germany in the fight for places in the tournament on November 14-21.
He is ranked sixth after reaching fifth in the men’s rankings last month.
Next in line are the Italian Matteo Berrettini, the Norwegian Kasper Ruud and the Polish Hubert Gurkach. 20-time Spanish champion Rafa Nadal is ranked eighth in the qualifying race but has already ended the season with injury.
