  • There’s a rampant bull here that helps BJP: Tikait digs out Owaysi
  • “He (Owaysi) says something different, but he has a different goal,” says BKU leader Tikait.
  • Tikait and other farmer leaders took part in the Maha Dharna organized by AIKSCC Telangana in Haide.

Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait, during his visit to Hyderabad, unearthed AIMIM head Asaduddin Owaysi and offered to link him to the state itself, as he is the BJP’s most helpful.

Calling the AIMIM leader “unbridled bull,” Tikait argued that Owaysi was saying something else, but with a different purpose, addressing the crowd. He added: “Don’t let him leave Hyderabad and Telangana.”

Tikait and other farmer leaders took part in the Maha Dharna organized by the All India Coordination Committee of Kisan Sangharsh (AIKSCC) – Telangana, marking one year of nationwide agitation by experts against three controversial agricultural laws.

In response to a statement by Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to grant an ex-gratia of 3 lakhs for each family member of the roughly 750 farmers killed during the protests, Tikait said the Center should also provide them with ex-gratia.

In addition, the central government should discuss with farmers issues related to the draft law on seeds, pesticides, implementation of the recommendations of the M.S. Swaminatana, he said.

He noted that if the government provides a legal guarantee for the MSP, then the farmers here (in Telangana) will also benefit. Earlier in his address to Dharna, Tikait claimed that the government of Narendra Modi was run by companies.
