Farhan shared a poster that showed the image of Mrunal in the film and wrote: “Life will not break you when love unites you. The trailer will be released on June 30th. … #ToofaanOnPrime. “

In May, Farhan announced that the boxing drama’s release date had been postponed due to the second wave of Covid. Farhan, who is also producing the film with partner Ritesh Sidhwani and film director Rakeish Omprakash Mehra, posted a joint statement from the creators on his Twitter account.
“The situation in India is truly heartbreaking and we at Excel Entertainment and ROMP Pictures send our thoughts and prayers to everyone affected by the pandemic. In light of the severity of the situation, we are fully focused on the pandemic and supporting our employees, their families and helping the wider community. Therefore, we have decided to postpone the release of our film Toofaan until the situation improves. We will post an update on the new release date in due course, ”the statement said.

The boxer Toofaan marks Farhan’s second collaboration with Rakeish following the huge success of the biopic Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, based on the Indian athlete Milha Singh. The film also stars Paresh Raval, Supriya Pathak Kapoor, Hussein Dalal, Mohan Agashe and Darshan Kumaar.
