West Indies-Australia 2nd ODI postponed after positive Covid-19 case

The second one-day international match between the West Indies and Australia on Thursday was postponed after a host staff member tested positive on coronavirus

The man’s name has not been revealed to the Cricket West Indies.

In the event of a positive test result, the series protocol states that both teams and match officials must immediately return to their hotel and be retested. They remain isolated depending on the test results.

“The decision on when the match will be replayed will be made later, when all test results are confirmed,” CWI said.

The third and final day-night match is scheduled for Saturday.

The draw for the second ODI was won by Australia, which chose to hit first at Kensington Oval.

Australia won the first ODI on Tuesday with 133 runs.
